The South East Melbourne Phoenix are an Australian professional basketball team based in Melbourne, Victoria. The Phoenix entered the National Basketball League in the 2019–20 season.
Challenge
With the success driven by Perth Wildcats, South East Melbourne Phoenix wanted to replicate the strategy for key midweek and weekend games against the Brisbane Bullets and Perth Wildcats.
Solution
As part of our strategy Interplay targeted the Chinese community focusing on their connection to star player Zhou Qi as part of the prospecting set-up.
We also geo targeted Melbourne specifically and retargeted supporters landing on SEMP content as part of the wider strategy.
